Three-round fights: when finishes come
| Round | Share of finishes | % | Before 2:30 |

| Round 1 | 53% | 44% | |
| Round 2 | 32% | 42% | |
| Round 3 | 15% | 50% |
1,209 finishes. A total-rounds line of 1.5 is passed 2:30 into round 2, so the “before 2:30” column tells how much of a round counts for the under.
Five-round fights: when finishes come
| Round | Share of finishes | % | Before 2:30 |

| Round 1 | 29% | 41% | |
| Round 2 | 32% | 40% | |
| Round 3 | 17% | 48% | |
| Round 4 | 12% | 31% | |
| Round 5 | 9% | 50% |
133 finishes. A total-rounds line of 1.5 is passed 2:30 into round 2, so the “before 2:30” column tells how much of a round counts for the under.

How the shares are counted
Which fights. Every UFC bout with a result on 212 cards from Oct 25, 2021 to Oct 24, 2026 (the last 5 years up to the newest result): 2,613 bouts. Results of a card are read 60 hours after the start of its date, so late corrections on Wikipedia settle first.
Groups as PROLINE+ settles them. KO/TKO includes disqualification (a finish); a technical decision counts as a decision; draws and no contests are void when the market has no price for them, so they are left out of the shares and shown apart.
Three or five rounds. A decision tells how many rounds were scheduled; so does a finish in round 4 or 5. For other finishes we take the main event and title fights as five rounds and the rest as three. On the 1,229 decisions of the period this rule gives the right number of rounds 99.3% of the time.
Small samples. A division needs 30 fights before its shares are shown; women’s featherweight and five-round fights of a single division are often below that.

How UFC fights end and how long
KO/TKO
A fighter is knocked out, or the referee stops the fight. For bets, this counts as a finish.
Submission
A fighter taps out from a hold or choke. Also a finish.
Decision
No finish: the judges' scorecards decide. On PROLINE+, a technical decision is also settled as a win by decision.
Draw
The judges score the fight even. On PROLINE+, if no draw price was offered, bets are void.
Round length
5 min roundsEach round lasts 5 minutes, with 1 minute of rest between rounds (Unified Rules). The tool shows three- and five-round fights separately.
Compare a division rate with a price
- Find the divisionIn the tool above, read the KO/TKO, submission and decision shares for the division and the number of rounds.
- Get the fair chanceTurn the method-of-victory price into a fair chance with the UFC odds calculator.
- Compare the twoA big gap means the price sees these two fighters differently from the division average – not that a bet will win.
- Check settlement rulesOn PROLINE+, round bets count KO, TKO, DQ or submission in that round. Going the distance needs a decision after every scheduled round.
