Price: built from the three book prices, margin kept inside. Fair: margin removed in proportion to each chance. AH: the Asian handicap that settles the same way (home side for home rows, away side for away rows). Push: the stake comes back. Other ways to remove the margin →
How it’s calculated
Draw no bet (home) = home × (draw − 1) ÷ draw = 2.10 × 2.40 ÷ 3.40 = 1.48
Home or draw = 1 ÷ (1 ÷ home + 1 ÷ draw) = 1 ÷ (1 ÷ 2.10 + 1 ÷ 3.40) = 1.30
Fair chance = chance by price ÷ 104.8%; fair price = 1 ÷ fair chance.

From 1X2 prices to fair chances
| Result | PROLINE sign | Decimal price | Fair chance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Home win | 1 | 2.20 | 43.2% |
| Draw | X | 3.30 | 28.8% |
| Away win | 2 | 3.40 | 1 ÷ 3.40 ÷ 105.2% (value in formula below) |
Raw chances (1 ÷ price) add up to 105.2%. The amount above one hundred per cent is the margin. Fair chance = raw chance ÷ that sum.
Fair draw no bet price
DNB home chance = fair home ÷ (fair home + fair away); fair DNB price = 1 ÷ that chance
Example: 43.2% ÷ (43.2% + 28.0%) = 60.7%, so the fair DNB price on the home team is 1.65.
3-way vs draw no bet
3-way (1X2)
- Three results to pick: 1 home win, X draw, 2 away win.
- A bet on a team loses if the match ends in a draw.
- Pays more than draw no bet on the same team.
- Book price on home in this example: 2.20.
Draw no bet
- Two results to pick: 1 or 2. The draw is not offered.
- If the match ends in a draw, the bet is void.
- Void single: stake refunded. Void parlay leg: parlay shrinks, nothing refunded.
- Fair DNB home price 1.65 – below the fair 3-way home price, 1 ÷ 43.2%.
- PROLINE also calls it Moneyline.
Soccer betting terms
- 1X2
- The 3-way market: 1 = home win, X = draw, 2 = away win.
- X
- On PROLINE, the draw/tie, or the selection in the middle.
- Draw no bet (DNB)
- Home or away only. A draw makes the bet void. PROLINE also calls it Moneyline.
- Double chance
- One bet that covers two of the three results: 1X, X2 or 12. Lower price, because two results win.
- Asian handicap
- One team starts with a goal handicap, for example half a goal; no draw option. Half-goal lines always have a winner; whole-goal lines can push. Compare point spread.
- Margin
- The bookmaker's built-in cost: raw chances add up to more than one hundred per cent. Check any market with the margin calculator.

Questions
What does X mean in soccer betting?
On PROLINE, X is the draw/tie – the selection in the middle of 1X2. 1 is the home team, 2 is the away team.
What happens to a draw no bet if the match is a draw?
The bet is void. On PROLINE, a void single is refunded. A void leg in a parlay is removed: the parlay gets shorter, the stake stays on it, nothing is refunded.
Is draw no bet the same as moneyline?
The PROLINE Game Conditions say Draw No Bet is also known as Moneyline: you bet on 1 or 2 only. See moneyline explained.
Is an Asian handicap the same as a point spread?
Similar, not identical. One team starts with a goal handicap, for example half a goal; quarter-goal lines split the stake across two lines. The PROLINE rule covers spread/handicap lines in general: a result exactly on the line is void.
Do soccer bets include extra time?
On PROLINE, unless the offer states otherwise, bets are settled on the result at the end of regular time (full time). Read the offer name before you bet.
