About

About and how we calculate

Free betting math for Canadians. We explain tickets, odds and hockey lines, and we show what the law and help look like in your province.

How a number gets on a page

  1. Rules firstWe start from the rule book: game conditions, laws and help pages, saved with the date we read them.
  2. Code calculatesOdds, payouts, chances and margins are worked out by the site’s own code. Tests lock the key results.
  3. Text gets no digitsWriters cannot type a price or a percentage. The build inserts the calculated value or stops.
  4. Checks before releaseEvery build is checked: help block, working links, no promises, sources not older than 100 days.
